Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference number ABK0001 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) using simplified acquisition procedures. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 235520 with a small business size standard of $11.5 million. Description. Contractor shall provide management, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, labor and materials necessary to remove and install floor coverings, in accordance with the manufacturers written instructions and all standard commercial practices to include the Carpet and Rug institute Handbook and the Air Force Carpet Selection Handbook, at building 1535 on Andrews Air Force Base. The carpet will be Lees?s Faculty IV 26oz. Color 04217 Blue magic Carpet tile 580 Square Yards. The border will be Lees?s Best Reguard, color 237 Blue Jay, 223 Square Yards. The delivery will be 31 August 2001. A site visit is scheduled for 10 August 2001 at 1500 Building 1535. Contractor will have to call the Contracting Squadron a day before to get a pass to come on base. The provision at FAR clause 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items and addenda?s. Offerors shall include with their offers, a completed copy of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items; FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items is applicable to this solicitation. Far clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders, Commercial Items, FAR 52.228-5 Insurance- Work on a Government Instillation, is applicable to this acquisition. The following clauses are checked; 52.232.33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration and 52.222-41 Service Contract Act of 1965, as amended (41 U.S.C. 351,et seq.) DFARs clause 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration is applicable to the solicitation.
