Description

This announcement is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is NMA100-01-T-0007, and this solicitation is issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The National Imagery & Mapping Agency (NIMA) wishes to procure the following: Canobeam III Read Unit (Beam Unit), P/N: DT-50, 3 EA installed with an Interface Card for 156 Mbps, P/N: DT-IF156 and an SNMP Board/with MTB PD, P/N: DT-NICS. NIMA intends to award a sole source contract to Canon USA, Inc., Broadcast and Communications Division, 400 Sylvan Avenue, Englewood Cliffs NJ 07632. Authority for Sole Source procurement is FAR 6.302-1. Responsible sources that are interested in this procurement may respond by providing clear and convincing information that identifies their capability. Responses must be received within 5 calendar days of the publication in the CBD. If a response is made it must be in writing. Offerors are to fax proposals to the National Imagery & Mapping Agency to the attention of Linda Bonham at (301) 227-7822 by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
