Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-01-Q-0282 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The contracting officer has dissolved the small business set-aside; therefore, the proposed contract is NOT set-aside for small business concerns. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 and DCN 20001213. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 333314 and the size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001, 343 each Chamber bore sight for 5.56 chamber, stainless steel outer jacket, no external wiring for switching or operation, class 3A, Laser shall be high efficiency 645-650 nm, 5mw, must be able to withstand two (2) foot drop test without damage to the electronics, must be water resistant (withstand total immersion in water for a minimum of one minute without damage), CLIN 0002, 30 each Adapter Sleeves for CLIN 0001 adapting to 7.62 caliber, stainless steel, CLIN 0003, 30 each Adapter Sleeves for CLIN 0001 adapting to 300 Winchester Magnum, stainless steel. Delivery is required F.o.B. Destination. Delivery shall be 45 days ARO. Acceptance location is Destination. Selection for award will be based on technical capability, past performance and price. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. The offeror shall provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, Contractor Establishment Code and Tax Identification Number. To be eligible for award you must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
