Description

This is a modification to the solicitation notice posted in CBDNet on May 21, 2001. The solicitation notice posted May 21, 2001 was suspended indefinitely by the Government prior to issuance. This modification lifts the suspension and changes the description to read as follows: Project calls for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, other other incidentals necessary to construct a continuous length (approximately 11,700 l.f.) of rock breakwater along the north bank of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) and east bank of the Sabine River. The breakwater will be constructed using ASTM D6092 R-300 rock riprap on a mat of geotextile material. The breakwater will extend approximately 0.4 miles north along the Sabine River from where the Sabine River and GIWW meet and continue east approximately 1.7 miles along the GIWW. Major items of work include: 35,130 tons of rock riprap; 28,300 sq. yds. of geotextile; 2,290 cu. yds. of earthfill; and 11 ea. metal fabricated settlement plates. Performance time is 126 calendar days. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The IFB packages will be available on or about August 23, 2001. All requests must be in writing. All responsible sources may submit an offer which may be considered by the agency.
