Description

DESC: The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington intends to award a sole source contract to Nextel Communications, Inc. The contract is for cellular telephone service with "Direct Connect Service". Direct Connect is a group and/or personal 2 way-radio type communication system built into Nextel's cellular telephones and cellular service. The contract will have 1 base year and 4 option years beginning on 01 October 2001, plus an option for 6 months service under FAR Clause 52.217-8. This contract will be awarded under FAR Part 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial items. Solicitation will not be available.
