Stationary Post Peeler/RFQ R3-WZ-01-83 DUE 082401/POC Margaret M. Cook (602)225-5340, FAX 602-225-5295 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), number R3-WZ-01-83. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. NAICS code 333120 applies and small business size standard is 750 employees. ITEMS: LINE ITEM (1) Code Number 5352, Model Number PS-8, Morbark stationary post peeler, standard equipment: Center section with debarking mechanism, carbide teeth and planer knife. Hydraulic feed wheel drive, stationary infeed/outfeed wood rests; hydraulic controlled infeed shoe. Shall include optional equipment of an additional 6 foot infeed and outfeed, folding; bark blower and feed auger for waste removal complete with drive, elbow blowpipe and connection collar. Shall include portable conversion package including hitch and wheels. Shall also include the Power Option consisting of Perkins model 4.236, water-cooled diesel engine, 80 hp at 2500 rpm with clutch, fuel tank, battery and belt shields; hydraulic top yoke; 33 inch support legs. Unit height 38 inches to top of wood rests; Motor base and V belt drive. The contractor shall provide the equipment as above to the USDA Forest Service, Coconino National Forest, 4373 South Lake Mary Road, Flagstaff, AZ 85001 no later than 14 calendar days after award. The FAR provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commerical, applies to this solicitation. 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, and addenda to FAR 52.212-3, the following is added, 52.204-3 Taxpayer Identification Number, 52.204-6 Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number, 52.219-1 Small Business Program Representations, 52.222-70 Compliance with Veterans Employment Reporting Requirements. All offerors shall include with their quotation, a completed copy of provision 52.212-3 and the cited addendas.
