Description

1. The Coronado National Forest, Tucson, Arizona, is soliciting quotes from qualifed natural resource contractors to conduct surveys to determine the presence and distribution of leopard frogs in selected riparian habitats on the Coronado National Forest in southeastern Arizona. 2. Contractor is required to conduct surveys, utilizing an established protocol, between May 15 and September 15 of the 12 month contract period. 3. Contractor must acquire all required state and federal permits before commencement of surveys. 4. Survey maps detail the location of specific water courses and ponds, which shall be visited a minimum of 3 times, two daytime, one night, unless the initial visit determines that suitable habitat does not exist for leopard frogs. 5. There are four distinct districts wherein the surveys shall be conducted: the Dragoon Mountains on the Sierra Vista Ranger District, the Chiricahua Mountains on the Douglas Ranger District, the Pinaleno Mountains on the Safford Ranger District, and the Santa Catalina Mountains on the Santa Catalina Ranger District near Tucson. 6. The Schedule itemizes these four districts so that quoters may quote on one, two, three, or all four districts. 6. The Government may consider multiple awards based on best value principles. 7.
