Description

The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) intends to issue a sole source contract to Litton Systems Inc. for the development, maintenance, support, and configuration management of the Litton-developed Electronic Maintenance System (EMS). Support work will include the analysis of US Army equipment diagnostics capability and the development of enhanced EMS diagnostic features. The EMS is a software package for the authoring, display, and functioning of a diagnostic Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM). It is currently based on the Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) standard as specified in ISO 8879, with HyTime extensions as specified in ISO 10744.
