Description
1. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Offers from other than 100% small business concerns for services for which the Government intends to solicit under authority FAR 12.203 and 13.003. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this prososed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. 3. Based on market research, the Government is using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies and capabilitty to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 10 days of this notice. 4. Services are for lease and reagents for triturus eia analyzer: instrument shall have windows interface software, with the ability for the operating technologiests to program in assays from other manufacturers; instrument shall have the capability for continued assay thoughput, with the ability to add additional tests while instrument is processing other assays; instrument needs to be fully automated performing all steps of EIA assays with an internal sample barcode reader; instrument needs to be able to be interfaced to hospital informaltion system; needs to have the ability to request groups of tests on individual samples; needs to have Multi-batch capability for scheduling severak cconsecutive groups of test; the instrument system should consist of the following components: (a). EIA automated analyzer, (b). Computer system with monitor for instrument operations and data storage, (c). Un-interruptible poer supply for instrument and computer components; Instrument service and preventive maintenance will be the responsibility of the vendor. Maintenance and technical support will need to be available Monday through Friday from 0800 -- 1700 hours; and Training of a minimum of two (2) personnel shall be included.
