Description

17. Electric wire and power distribution. The National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD has a need for interested offerors for a requirement for cable replacement, electrical equipment testing and preventative maintenance. All potential offers who want to be provided with a copy of the solicitation should response in writing 30 calendar days from the published date of this notice. The scope of work for this requirement consists of two parts. The first is testing, repairing or replacement of the 15KV cable, associated Switchgear/Circuit Breaker(s), and emergency repairs/services. The second part is to provide electrical testing and preventative maintenance services on low voltage and medium voltage equipment and components, perform emergency repairs/services as needed, and to provide technical assistance to the NIH/NIH High Voltage Group with technical troubleshooting and repair of various electrical apparatus. Most of the 15KV cable has been replaced over the last five years . As a result, it is likely that the majority of the remaining work for this requirement will be preventative maintenance, equipment testing, and emergency repairs/services. The intent is to write a contract for a base year with four(4) one year option periods. All responses to this synopsis will be provide with a copy of the solicitation when it is issue. When the solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published.
