Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a Fixed Price Incentive /Award Fee contract to procure Depot-Level Maintenance Capability Development, Organizational, Intermediate and Depot-Level Support Equipment, Engineering and Logistics Support such as Maintenance Planning and Technical Data, and Recurring Ground Support for Carrier and Shore-based Squadrons in accordance with the F/A-18E/F Site Activation Requirements. This is the second component of the F-18E/F Integrated Readiness Support Team (FIRST) Program that will complement the Naval Inventory Control Point -- Philadelphia's Supply Chain Management contract in creating a total performance-based F/A-18E/F Logistics Program. The Government intends to award a contract to McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516 pursuant to Title 10 U.S. C. 2304(c)(1) since MDC is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18E/F aircraft and the only known source that can meet program requirements. The period of performance is twelve (12) months for 2003 with two twelve (12) month options for 2004 and 2005.
