Description

The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) through the ADP Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center, intends to award a sole source simplified acquisition to the University of Michigan?s Survey Research Center. The objectives of this simplified acquisition are to 1) document the current status of web-based surveys; 2) identify and discuss general methodological and technology issues associated with web-based surveys, and in particular, as they relate to NCHS? population-based surveys; and 3) develop and pretest a population based survey prototype(s). Closing date is August 16, 2001. This proposed requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement that demonstrates their ability to provide the services required. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such document will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days from the date of this synopsis, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the award to the University of Michigan?s Survey Research Center. Responses must be received in writing and refer to 01C103128 to the attention of Susan Moran.
