- Description
- Provide on-site services for a Drug Abuse Program Technician at the Federal Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky, Psychology Department. This is considered a contractual agreement and not a personnel appointment. The work schedule will be five sessions (one session equals 4 hours of work a day) per week (estimated 250 sessions per year). Hours of work are scheduled to be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., excluding Federal Holidays. The primary work location will be in the basement of Veritas housing unit which is where the drug abuse program staff offices and classrooms are located. The contractor will be working around federal inmates. The position does not require a college degree; however he/she shall have experience or completed course work training in the Social Science and Computer Field. The contractor shall be able to use a computer and utilize word perfect, facilate substance abuse groups, and have a well rounded knowledge of interpersonal communication and behavior skills. The ability to work well with staff and federal inmates is essential. The contractor shall meet all security requirements as outlined in the Bureau Of Prisons Policy Statement 3000.2 for all services provided including security background checks, finger printing, and shall pass the Urinalysis test. This will be a competitive procurement with award being made to the offeror determined to be in the best interest to the Federal Government with price and other factors considered. The base year will be for twelve months from date of award with (4) twelve month option periods for renewal. Participated date of award is October 1, 2001. It is anticipated this solicitation will be mailed approximately August 27, 2001 with a due date of September 14, 2001. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a firm fixed price requirement type contract. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. This contract is subject to the Service Contract Act and the place of performance will be located at the Bureau Of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, 3301 Leestown Road, Lexington, Kentucky, Fayette County. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
