Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health has a requirement for single cell gel assay analytical services to assess DNA strand breaks. The method employed will be based on that originally described by Singh et.al.(Experimental Cell Research 175: 174-191, 1988), but include improvements that reflect up-to-date advancements in the methodologies for measurement of DNA strand breaks in human blood samples. An exposure extent assessment and intervention effectiveness study of polyaromatic hydrocarbon exposure will be conducted of exposure potential and internal absorbed dose markers and biologic damage to evaluate simple exposure reduction interventions. The requirement will be fulfilled utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures with written quotations on Standard Form 18. Request for Quotations (RFQ) 2001-Q-08002 will be issued on an unrestricted basis to full and open competition on or about August 17, 2001, and quotations due on or about August 31, 2001.
