Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has a requirement for maintenance support for legacy systems consisting of Concurrent Computer Corporation hardware and software. This is a synopsis for commercial items. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used in accordance with FAR 13.5. The contract will be on a firm-fixed price basis with a base year and four option years beginning 1 October 2001. The contract shall provide for the addition and/or deletion of Concurrent hardware and software to allow for requirement changes in the AEGIS Program baselines which the Concurrent hardware and software supports. NSWCDD intends to award the contract on a sole source basis to Concurrent Computer Corporation, 2881 Gateway Drive, Pompano Beach, FL 33069. Previous procurements and historical information demonstrate that Concurrent Computer Corporation is the only known firm with the capability to maintain the hardware and software. Interested parties other than Concurrent must demonstrate, in writing, their capability to provide the required services. The current list of hardware and software is primarily Powerstack II Dual workstations and Powermaxion VME based Symmetric Multi-processor (SMP) servers and associated software. The operating system is Powermax. The closing date is 24 August 2001, 2:00 P.M. EST (Eastern Standard Time).
