Background "Background ""The Operational Contracting Branch (ASC/PKWOSB) of the Aeronautical Systems Center will issue a solicitation on or about 6 Aug 01 for nonpersonal services to develop and report on the experimental data and micromechanical analysis for fretting fatigue and related damage mechanism issues of titanium alloys when subjected to high cycle fatigue using experiments and destructive and non-destructive techniques. Period or Performance is 04 Sep 01 through 30 Aug 02. SIC: 8731, NAICS: 541710, Size Standard: 500. This acquisition is sole source procurement to Dr. Ohchang Jin. The Request for Quote (RFQ) and the Statement of Work will be posted on the ASC Pre-Award Information Exchange System (PIXS) at Wright-Patterson AFB OH (http://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil/). NO HARD COPIES WILL BE SENT. All responsible sources may submit a proposal and shall be considered. Facsimile or alternate proposals are not acceptable.
