Description

Questions regarding the following should be directed to Michelle Gray at (301)443-7077. The Department of Health and Human Services?, Office of Public Health and Science through the ADP Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center, intends to award a sole source simplified acquisition to the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. The purpose of this simplified acquisition is to conduct a cross-sectional evaluation of the current child obesity problem, and the obesity programs, in a sample of community health centers in Regions II and III, with the ultimate aim of using this information to develop a future intervention strategy. Closing date is August 15, 2001.This proposed requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement that demonstrates their ability to provide the services required. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such document will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days from the date of this synopsis, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the award to the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
