- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey, Water Resources Division, has a requirement for a portable, submersible multi-node resistivity Imaging System which can measure resistivity, self potential(SP), and induced polarization (chargeability). The lightweight resistivity meter should weigh no more that 35 lbs., and 1 line cable with a weight of no more than 30 lbs. 175 Watt power supply capable of 20 amps current output, cables that are submersible, for the cables to be submersible the switches must be internal and not contained in the cables. The system must have an internal switching board, automatic switching, SP compensation, continuous stacking, selectable cycle time, standard deviation computation, internal memory, internal rechargeable battery, external power port, weather proof and shock resistant housing, RE232 communication port, 4 cables containing 19 electrode take-outs with a 5 meter spacing and 15 meter of lead cable before first electrode, 72 electrode with connector clips. Based on information available at this time, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253 (1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1, the Government considers the item specified as a sole source from Terraplus, 625 Valle Road, Littleton, Co 80124 and proposes to negotiate a contract with that firm on that basis.
