Description

This solicitation is being advertised as a "TOTAL SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS ONLY", for full and open competition. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 23499. The Size Standard is $27.5M. The work includes the removal of trees, clearing and grubbing, construction of asphalt concrete roadway, roundabout, bicycle path, storm drainage system, demolition of existing road, planting of live oak trees and incidential related work. The work shall be located at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. The estimated cost is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The estimated time for completion is 160 calendar days. Liquidated damages shall be the sum of the $200.00 for each calendar day of delay. For Option Item 1 -- $50.00 each calendar day and Option Item 2 -- $50.00 each calendar day. This solicitation will only be awarded to businesses registered on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) on line system at www.ccr.disc.dia.mil-cil or contact the CCR Assistance Center at 1-888-227-2423. IN ORDER FOR A CONTRACTOR TO RECEIVE AN AWARD, THEY MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CCR SYSTEM prior to bid opening. This solicitation will be available on or about 22 August 2001. The Government intends on issuing the solicitation through the use of the Internet only. The entire solicitation with drawings will be available for viewing and downloading at www.esol.navfac.mil. All prospective bidders and plan roomns must register on the websiste. The official plan holder's list will be maintained and can be printed form the web site. Amendments will be posted on the web site for downloading. This will be the only method of distributing amendments; therefore IT IS THE BIDDER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICIATION.
