Description

The United States Navy, Facilities Engineering Command, Engineering Field Activity Mediterranean invites bids for a NATO project to construct a Base Library at Aviano Air Base, Italy. The general scope of the NATO work is as follows: This approximately 1044m2 gross area library is a one storied building with reinforced concrete foundation, reinforced concrete columns and beams, floor, roof and in filled masonry walls. The roof is clay tile hipped roof on concrete slab. Exterior finishes are stucco. The building comprises of offices, reading rooms, collection areas, break room and restrooms and will be equipped with fire alarm and sprinkler fire protection systems. Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning with central chillers and boilers will be provided. Site work, including concrete walkways, landscaping, connection to water, sewer and electrical installations, telecommunications cabling and site lighting are required. All applicants must be certified by the NATO procurement offficer at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Telecommunications.
