- Description
- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Headquarters Contract Service Center, proposes to procure contractor support for "Technology Transfer and Training" for EPA Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response Division. The purpose of this procurement is to obtain the support services of a contractor who will facilitate the government's conduct of national and international technology transfer activities. These activities include: The issuance of analytical reports pertaining to technologies and technology based information related to hazardous waste response, characterization, or clean-up actions; Field analytical monitoring and measurement; The facilitation of technology demonstrations; The delivery of technical and programmatic training; and the conduct/delivery of other technology transfer activities including seminars, formal meetings, electronic bulletin boards, information bulletins, and the OSWER Exhibits program. In pursuit of this objective, a copy of the contract statement of work (SOW) is provided on the Internet. This effort is being competed on a full and open competition basis. NAICS code 541620 will be used. The size standard is $5M. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. It is anticipated that the resultant contract type will be Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee, with a two year base period and 3 one year option periods. The estimated total contract level-of-effort is 375,000 hours. The anticipated release date for the Request for Proposal (RFP) is 09/05/01. The purpose of this CBD announcement is to notify potential offerors of EPA's requirement, generate the source list, and to direct interested parties to the EPA Office of Acquisition Management's (OAM) homepage on the "Doing Business with EPA" Internet World Wide Web site (Http://www.epa.gov/oam/srpod) for further information on this procurement as it becomes available (telephonic requests for information relating to this procurement will not be honored). In an effort to streamline the procurement process, and to utilize the Internet and electronic communications to the maximum extent possible, the subject RFP, amendments and other related items for this procurement will be posted on this Web site. Also posted on the Internet will be an ongoing status update to inform interested parties of current information related to the procurement. EPA does not anticipate printing copies of the RFP, therefore, Potential Offerors are requested to download the RFP and amendments from this location, rather than requesting hard copies from this office.
