Description

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to negotiate a Purchase Order with the Ad Council to promote television and radio public service announcement (PSA?s) promoting environmentally sound transportation choices. The AD council will provide education to the community, state and local stakeholders to gain an understanding of travel choices, congestion, air pollution in addition to information exchange, media campaigns, networking and how the public can have opportunities be mobile as it pertains to clean air. In addition, the AD Council will provide the following services: build support for the regional, state and community to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution, provide marketing materials, and resource kits. The AD Council will be partnering with the Alliance for Clean Air and Transportation national coalition which has been formed by the federal partners. The AD Council will work with the state and local partners to produce art work, logos, and high quality voice-over. Because the AD Council has the experience with advertising high quality messages, the expertise and history working with the FHWA and supporting the FHWA?s message regarding transportation and air quality messages about the connection between individual transportation choices; they are the only known source available that can develop the educational information needed for this project. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is August 17, 2001.
