- The Marine Corps Command intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Mandus Group Ltd.. for Twenty Eight (28) KJ4000 Oil Transfer System to be augmented as a component of the Artillery Shop Set (E1712). The KJ4000 Oil Transfer System is a newly developed technology to replace the M3 oil pump currently being used by all branches of the Armed Services. Mandus Group Ltd. is the designer, manufacturer, and sole supplier of the KJ4000. The KJ4000 is engineered to be self-purging eliminating air from the lines prior to pumping, it accepts oil from a pressurized system into its reservoir allowing for the reuse. Operational Characteristics: the KJ4000 provides .59 GPM the oil is filter through a .5 micron high-pressure filter. Benefits include the reduction in maintenance man-hours; oil spills, oil waste and reduces the likelihood of contaminants reaching the recoil systems. This is a COTS, NDI purchase.
