Description

Construct a 2.2 mile of flood prevention channel system, including the installation of associated culverts in the Town of Holly Hill and adjacent areas outside the town limits and within Orangeburg County, South Carolina. The major items of work and their estimated quantities are as follows: class C clearing -- 14.6 acres; excavation -- 17,000 cubic yards; seeding permanent vegetation -- 11.6 acres; loose Rock Riprap -- 420 tons; reinforced concrete box culvert -- 312 linear feet; reinforced concrete pipe culvert -- 1,972 linear feet. Interested parties are invited to attend a site showing on August 29, 2001. The site showing will begin at 9:00 AM at The Depot (meeting hall) located at 8603 Old State Road, (directly across from Hardee's Restaurant) Holly Hill, South Carolina. Performance time is 198 calendar days. The government cost estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This solicitation is subject to full and open competition with price preferences for SBA certified HUBZone and SDB concerns. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 234990.
