Description

Invitation For Bid (IFB) 38-1858 offering 1 Floating Crane -- EX-YD 127 and 1 Patrol Craft -- EX-YP 699. Sealed Bid Opening is August 23, 2001 at 1:00 P.M. (EDST). A 20% Bid Deposit is required and must be submitted with your bid. Inspection Dates are August 06-17, 2001. Bidders will need to give 4 business days notice prior to inspection for the Floating Crane located at Hiroshima, JAPAN. A 48 hour notice prior to inspection for the patrol craft located at Pensacola, FL. The YD 127 is a non-self-propelled 100 ton capacity floating crane with a revolving, truss-boom type. The machinery house is mounted on a welded steel barge. The hull has an engine room for self-contained diesel-electric power plants. It is of a design and construction that will permit towing overseas. Its function is to provide crane support in areas where land based cranes are not available. The YP 699 is a 108 Foot Yard Patrol and is used for instruction in seamship and navigation. In the event of an emergency, the YP can be readily outfitted for use as an inner harbor patrol craft. The YP is a transverse-framed wood hull (I-sheeting clad), powered by two 12V71N diesel engines. This craft is currently non-operational; no maintenance is being accomplished.
