Description

In accordance with Section 8090 of the 2001 Department of Defense Appropriation Act, the Government intends to negotiate, on a non-competitive basis, a two year extension comprised of two one-year option periods under an existing contract for Health Care services in TRICARE Northwest Region 11. The periods of performance for these option periods are as follows: Option Period 8 -- 1 March 2002 through 28 February 2003; Option Period 9 -- 1 March 2003 through 29 February 2004. The Health Care services include all functions to provide comprehensive managed care; including development of provider networks, claims processing, financing, and integration into the military's direct care system to serve all beneficiaries in the Region. TRICARE Northwest Region 11 comprises the states of Washington, Oregon and the northern portion of the State of Idaho consisting of the following six counties: Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai, Latah, and Shoshone. The existing Contract, number MDA906-94-C-0003, is with Health Net Federal Services, Inc. (HNFS) located at 2025 Aerojet Road, Rancho, Cordova, CA 94903.
