Description

The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Intelligence (IN-1), intends to award a sole source contract to SAS Institute, Inc., of Cary NC, for support and maintenance of an existing installed base of proprietary computer software (Base SAS and Base System 2000). The period of performance is Fiscal Year 2002, October 1, 2001-September 30, 2002. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals.The determination to use other than full and open competition was made in accordance with 41 USC(c)(1). Interested parties may submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement within 15 calendar days of publication of this notice, to be considered by the Government but there is no solicitation document. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note(s) 22
