Description

Solicitation notice -- IFB N68711-00-b-7457, repair of magazines at the Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach, Ca. The work includes the replacement of the earth cover over the selected magazines to restore a minimum of two feet of cover, the replacement of cracked floors by removal, replacement or sealing, water sealing of those magazines showing evidence of water infiltration and incidental related work. A quality control program will be required as set forth in the contract specifications. This is a firm fixed price construction contract. The estimated cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Anticipated performance time is approximately 180 calendar days. This procurement is being issued as unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 23493/sic code 1629. The small business size standard is $27.5 million. All responsible offers, received on time, shall be considered by the agency. All prospective offerors and plan rooms must register as planholders on the internet EBS web site for this project (http://esol.navfac.navy.mil) in order to receive a copy of plans and specifications. The official plan holder's list will be maintained on, and can be printed from the internet site. In accordance with far 5.102(a)(7) availability of the solicitation will be limited to the electronic medium; solicitation will be available for download free of charge via the website. Hard copies or (paper sets) or CD-ROM of the solicitation will not be provided by the government. Registering offerors and plan rooms must provide a complete name, address, area code/phone number, offeror type (prime contractor, subcontractor, supplier, or plan room), e-mail address, and type of business (large, small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, etc.). Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the internet. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the below listed address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation's plans and specifications. The plans and specifications will be available on the website on or about 11 AUG 01. Note: All federal contractors must be registered in the central contractor registration (CCR) database, new contract awards can only be made to contractors who are registered in the CCR.
