Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Therefore, this synopsis shall serve as a request for quotation, numbered F233IS02070100. The Government intends to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302 with VERIDIAN, San Antonio, TX, for Automated Security Incident Measurement (ASIM), Common Intrusion Detection Director (CIDD) 3.1 Analyst Training. The Government requests a 30 day acceptance period. The items required are CLIN 0001, ASIM/CIDD 3.1 Analyst Training, Aug 7-8, 2001, 12 students; CLIN 0002, ASIM/CIDD 3.1 Analyst Training, Aug 9-10, 2001, 12 students; CLIN 0003, ASIM/CIDD 3.1 Analyst Training, Aug 14-15, 2001, 12 students; CLIN 0004, ASIM/CIDD 3.1 Analyst Training, Aug 16-17, 2001, 12 students; CLIN 0005, ASIM/CIDD 3.1 Analyst Training, Sep 3-4, 2001, 12 students; and CLIN 0006, ASIM/CIDD 3.1 Analyst Training, Sep 6-7, 2001, 12 students. This synopsis and incorporated provisions/clauses are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 611430, $5.0M. The following Provisions/Clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders-Commercial Items..
