Description
The United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command-Warren (TACOM-Warren) will be issuing a sole source Request for Proposal (RFP) to EMRTC to extend their current development efforts and live fire testing against their focused blast/frag active protection countermeasure (FBF AP-CM) designs. The contractor will down select to three of their most promising FBF AP-CM designs, and continue development, live fire testing (105mm, 120mm, KE, HEAT, ATGMs and RFPs), and test evaluations against the three selected FBF AP-CM designs. The contractor will also conduct live fire testing and evaluations against five Government provided AP-CM designs. This effort will enhance and is a follow on to developmental and testing efforts being performed by EMRTC on an existing Government contract. This requirement will be acquired as a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) modification to Contract DAAE07-99-C-L063 with EMRTC, Socorro, NM. The period of performance for this effort shall be twenty four (24) months from date of award. This requirement will be solicited by letter. Issuance of a formal solicitation is not anticipated. While this RFP is being issued on a sole source basis, any interested parties may request a copy of the letter RFP by sending an e-mail request a copy of the letter RFP by sending an e-mail request to joudasj@tacom.army.mil. All solicitations issued on or after 1 Apr 1999 require offerors to submit offers paperless: only electronic format will be accepted. Contractors will be required to submit their response in one of the following electronic mediums: via 100 megabyte Zip*-disk, e-mail, 3 inch disk or 650 megabyte CD ROM. Offers/bids are to be emailed to Offers@tacom.army.mil. Do not e-mail offers to the buyer. The subject line of the e=mail submissions must read "Offer-DAAE07-01-R-L022 Closes 17 Sep 01. Maximum size of e-mailed offers shall not exceed 3.5 megabytes. Compressed files must be self-extracting and have appropriate instructions to open. Hard copy responses will not be accepted. Please make sure this agency has been furnished with the following additional information: CAGE, Company Name, DUNS Number and the e-mail address where you would like the notice sent.
