Description

THIS IS A BEST VALUE COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS FIRMS. This solicitation was previously advertised as solicitation DACA63-01-B-0018. This project involves removing Asphalt Cement Concrete (ACC) and associated base courses, milling existing ACC, placing new Aggregate Base Course and ACC, placing new ACC overlay, and painting pavement markings. Duration of the construction project will be approximately 210 days. Estimated cost range is between $1 Million and $5 Million. Solicitation to be issued on or about 15 August 2001. Proposals are due on or about 14 September 2001 at 1600 hours. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 234110, Highway and Street Construction, which corresponds to SIC Code 1611. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million. This is a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE solicitation. Offerors from all qualified small business concerns are solicited. The plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specs will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through 3.5" diskette, CD-ROM and/or the Internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
