- Description
- Contractor to furnish all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to replace aircraft apron concrete joint material at U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Training Center, Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama. Work includes but is not limited to all labor, equipment, materials, and tools necessary to replace approximately 121,170 linear feet of concrete joint material. Sawcut or sandblast the edges of the joint and transversal cracks to leave a clean free bonding surface. Clean, sound joint at least two inches deep. Insert appropriately sized backer rod into joint. Repair spall identified in project drawings. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) Code is 234990. The small business size standard is a three-year averaged annual gross receipts of $27.5 million. Estimated construction price range is $250,000.00 to $500,000.00. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. Performance period is 90 calendar days. There is no charge for the solicitation package. All bid requests must be submitted in writing, and may be faxed to (305)278-6696. No telephone requests shall be accepted. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by this agency. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSBDU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guarantee on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00.
