Description
This notice is a request for information and search for contractors that have performed combined services for grounds maintenance and snow removal services. Contractors who have performed both services but not under combined services are also solicited. Work is to be performed at the Denver Federal Center, Lakewood, Colorado for a total area of 665 acres. Grounds maintenance includes irrigation repairs. Snow removal services are to be provided for major roads, parking lots, and sidewalks. NAICS Code 561730, Landscaping Services, Size Standard -- $5.0 million. NAICS Code 561990, All Other Support Services, Size Standard -- $5.0 million. Below is the estimated workload data to specify the size of the facility and the specific workload requirements in order to provide the contractor pertinent data information that will help them determine their capability to perform the services. These are estimates only of services that may be rendered. GROUNDS MAINTENANCE Hardscape Areas include major roads, sidewalks, walks requiring edging on one side or both sides, curbs requiring edging (lawn and open areas), parking areas, plazas, exercise path, fenced storage lost (asphalt). Softscape areas include lawn area and open and field areas, prairie dog colony, agricultural ditch, fences storage lots, (dirt and rock), and volleyball courts. Ornamental beds include wood chips, rock, soil, and flower beds/planter. Trees include lawn, open, and field areas and crabapple trees than need fruiting control. SNOW REMOVAL Hardscape areas include sidewalks, parking areas, and 13 miles of major roads. Provide a narrative, limited to two pages, that includes responses to the items listed below: 1. Type of contract used such as indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) task orders with line items, performance-based services, or a combination of ID/IQ-performance based services. 2. Were there concerns, successes, advantages, disadvantages that were discovered during the performance period of the contract regarding combining these services? 3. Indicate the size of business such as large, small, 8(a), small disadvantaged business, Hubzone, etc. 4. Provide three past performance references for same or similar type services.
