Description
The following questions have been asked in regard to Combination Synopsis/Solicitation 52PAPT101022. Each is immediately followed by its answer. 1) How many subscribers will there be in each of the four areas? Currently, the highest concentration of subscribers is within the 50 mile radius of Arlington, VA at 89. There is one subscriber in Boston, one subscriber in Staunton, VA, and one subscriber in Harrisburg, PA. The number of potential subscribers is expected to increase within the 50 mile radius of Arlington, VA to a number that cannot be determined. 2) Where will the 50 mile radius be measured from, the city center or from all the city boundaries? For the highest concentration of subscribers, the 50 miles will be measured from 2121 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA. The 50 mile radius for the other locations will be measured from the approximate center of the city. 3) Should the contractor provide a satellite communications option? No. 4) What if national providers can't guarantee 99.7% uptime? If national providers are unable to guarantee 99.7% uptime, then they should state what they can guarantee. 5) Will there be a bidder conference? No. 6) Can nationwide coverage be limited to urban areas or are you looking for coverage of remote areas as well? Nationwide coverage is not limited to urban areas. Coverage may be required in remote areas as well urban ones. 7) What is the contractual term of the services for the whole contract and for individual subscribers? The term for the Blanket Purchase Agreements will be for five years; however, the term for the individual subscribers is one year from the time of connection after which time the term will be month to month. In any event, if the contractor fails to meet the terms in the agreement, the government can terminate the agreement at any time.
