NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation for 1 year -- Design Analyzer Perpetual Maintenance (2 copies) 1 year -- Tetramax ATPG Perpetual Maintenance Support and Update 1 year -- VSS Perpetual NE Maintenance (5 copies) 1 year -- VHDL Compiler Perpetual NE Maintenance (3 copies) 1 year -- BSD Compiler Perpetual NE Maintenance 1 year -- DC PRO Perpetual NE Maintenance 1 year -- Primetime Perpetual NE Maintenance 1 year -- DC Expert Plus Package Perpetual NE Maintenance 1 year -- DC Expert Perpetual NE Maintenance This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Synopsis, Incorporated as they are the only providers of of the support and maintenance for this software. The authority is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 7-31-2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
