REQUIRED Delivery date: 9/30/01. Anticipated award date: AUGUST 2, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. SIC Code 3663. SPECIFICATION FOR ULTRA-BROADBAND FIELD MONITOR SYSTEM 1. GENERAL INFORMATION The specification provided below is for an Amplifier Research, Ultra-broadband Field Monitor System. The system consists of a Display Monitor Receiver (Model FM5004), four low frequency, Electric Field Probes (model FP5000), and one high frequency Electric Field probe (Model FP5080). The Field Monitor System is to be a broadband isotropic electric field measurement system for use in standardized radiated susceptibility testing. Each probe shall have its own fiber optic cable (minimum length 10 meter) and a battery charger. Any Field Monitor System that meets the minimum specifications listed below is acceptable. 2. TECHNICAL BACKGROUND The contractor shall provide a Field Monitor System of all-new parts, components and materials with minimum silent features: 2.1 Display Monitor Receiver: Measurement range: 1 to 300 V/m Display: Digital, LED, with resolution to 0.1V/m. Readout Modes (Operator Selectable): a. Simultaneous reading of the 3 orthogonal axis reading of any connected probe. b. Minimum and maximum readings of all connected probes. c. Simultaneous average (3 orthogonal axis) reading of all connected probes. Inputs: Shall accept and simultaneously handle inputs from up to 4 independent electric field probes. All inputs shall be via fiber optic cable. Sensitivity: 0.5 V/m (minimum). Maximum display value: 3000 V/m, Without Damage. Outputs: IEEE-488 interface RS-232 interface Probe battery voltage indicator Power: 120 VAC, 60 Hz Dimension (W x H x D): Not to exceed 20 x 4 x 11 in Weight: Not to exceed 20 lbs. Operating Temperature: 104 F max, 50 F min Relative humidity: (non-condensing): 95 % max 2.2 Electric Field Probes: 2.2.1 Low Frequency (10kHz to 1,000 MHz) Electric Field Probes (4): Output Type: Via fiber optic cable. SPECIFICATION FOR ULTRA-BROADBAND FIELD MONITOR SYSTEM (COTINUED) Overload (withstands): 1,000 V/m any range. Isotropicity: * 0.5 dB on 3 orthogonal axes Sensitivity: 1 V/m Maximum Measurement Field Strength: 300 V/m. Frequency (operating): 10 kHz to 1,000 MHz Flatness: * 0.5 dB, 10 kHz to 250 MHz, * 1.5 dB, 250 MHz to 1 GHz. Outputs: Independent outputs for each of the 3 orthogonal axes. Sampling rate: 1 to 26 samples/sec. Power: Standard size rechargeable batteries, easily replaceable (solderless). Battery Charging: Accomplished without removing batteries from probe. Probe Dimensions: Not to exceed a 5-inch cube (including electronic enclosure). Weight: not to exceed 2 lbs. Operating Temperature: a.104 F max b. 50 F min Relative humidity: (non-condensing): 95 % max 2.2.2 High Frequency (1 GHz to 40 GHz) Electric Field Probe (1): Output Type: Via fiber optic cable. Overload (withstands): 1,000 V/m and range. Isotropicity: * 1.2 dB on 3 orthogonal axes. Sensitivity: 1V/m or better. Maximum Measurement Field Strength: 300 V/m. Frequency (operating): 1 GHz to 40 GHz Flatness: * 1.5 dB (80 MHz to 26 GHz), * 3.0 dB (26 GHz to 40 GHz) Outputs: Independent outputs for each of the 3 orthogonal axes. Sampling rate: 1 to 24 samples/sec Power: Standard size rechargeable batteries, easily replaceable (solderless). Battery Charging: Accomplished without removing batteries from probe Probe Sensor Dimensions: Not to exceed a 3-inch cube. A protective radome should be provided to protect the probe sensor. This radome is not to exceed a volume of a 5-inch diameter sphere. Overall Dimensions: Length not to exceed 18 inches (Sensor, Connecting Handle and Electronic Enclosure). Width not to exceed 5 inches. Depth not to exceed 5 inches. Weight: not to exceed 3 lbs. Operating Temperature: a. 104 F max b. 50 F min Relative humidity: (non-condensing): 95 % maximum 2.3 TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION: Provide calibration certificate, operator and service manual.
