Description
The U.S. Dept. of Commerce/NOAA/NOS/OCRM will be hosting the "2002 Ocean and Coastal Program Managers Conference" which is scheduled to be held in Washington, DC during 2002. NOS/OCRM has a requirement for a Conference Complete Meeting Package for 300 participants of the conference during the specified time frame. Please note that guest room accommodations (approximately 400 persons for three night) will also be needed but will be handled directly by the attendees and not through this requirement. The selected hotel must provide a Complete Conference Meeting Package that meets the following criteria: (1) Availability of guest room accommodations for 50 rooms Monday (March 11, 2002); 100 rooms for 2 nights (Tuesday and Wednesday, March 12-13, 2002) at the Federal Government per diem. (2) Located within city limits of Washington, D.C. with convenient access to Metro (within three blocks of a stop for each-the Metro Red Line and Metro Blue/Orange line) and other public transportation; (3) Within two blocks of the Department of Commerce, Herbert C. Hoover Building; (4) Availability of meeting facilities that are configured per specifications and have the capacity for: 1. Plenary sessions for 425 attendees on Wednesday and Thursday (March 13 and 14, 2002) from 8:30 AM.-10:30 AM with theater seating; 2. Lunch for 475 attendees with round tables and a stage for speakers on Wednesday and Thursday (March 13 and 14, 2002) from 12:30 PM -3:00 PM); 3. Break-out rooms on Tuesday, for groups of 100, 100, 100 from 8:00 AM.-4:00 PM with conference table seating; 4. Break-out sessions on Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM for groups of 50, 80, 80 with theater seating; 5. Separate Exhibit space for 25 exhibitors, approximately 8 feet by 8 feet; 6. Continental breakfast and AM and PM coffee breaks for 300 persons; 7. Separate conference office space 500 sq. ft; 8. Separate storage space; 9. Registration area available 24 hours/day; 10. Reception area Wednesday night for 475 people from 7:00 PM-10:00 PM. Interested parties are invited to submit information as to their capabilities and any pertinent data along with a total package price for the entire package based upon a per person rate to the address above for consideration or fax responses to (301) 713-0806 with submission to be received no later than 15 working days from date of this notice.
