Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates a multiple award of Firm Fixed Price Contracts for the provision of Advanced Occupational Educational Training at the Federal Correctional Institution Pekin,(FCI), Pekin, Illnois. Offerors shall provide vocational programs in Building Trades, Horticulture and Office Management to the Federal Inmates housed at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC), Pekin, IL. All work shall be completed in accordance with the Request for Quotation (RFQ) Package. The Government intends to award multiple contracts with a base year and three option year periods. Offerors shall provide services to the institution in a three hour session. The session length is estimated at 960 sessions at the FPC Pekin. Offerors must posses experience and education sufficient to instruct Building Trades, Horticulture, and Office Management Programs to an inmate population. A Bachelor of Science Degree with experience working with inmates or otherwise disadvantaged population is required; or a four year degree in a related field. The solicitation packets WILL NOT BE available until on or about 8/17/01. Penal Institution security requirements are applicable. The period of performance is as follows: Base Year Date of Award thru 12 months, Option Year 1 13 months thru 24 months, Option Year 2 25 months thru 36 months and Option 3 37 months thru 48 months. The project is not set-aside for small business. The bid due date is 9/18/01. The project is estimated between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. NAICS Code is _624310 and Size Standard is 5.0 Million. Work is to be performed in a correctional setting and contractor and staff will be subject to background investigations and security procedures.
