Description

Description: Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete this project. The work includes but is not limited to the above and below ground inspection; non-destructive evaluation; furnishing and applying ground line treatment, internal decay treatment, and preventative fumigant treatment; and tagging and preparing inspection reports on the wood poles on approximately 385 miles of transmission lines. This project will be performed in Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming. All work shall be completed 360 calendar days after contract award. The Service Contract Act will be applicable to this requirement. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be issued in hard copy FREE OF CHARGE. NOTE: In accordance with FAR 5.102-3, Western procurement officials will be limiting availability of this solicitation. Therefore, only a limited number of copies will be issued on a "first-come, first-served" basis. This solicitation will be issued on or about 8/9/01. There will be one award as a result of this solicitation. This is a commercial service and will be handled in accordance with FAR Part 12. This proposed procurement is set aside for small business concerns. The NAICS Code is 321114 and the applicable size standard is 500. See numbered Note 1.
