Description

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Amersham Pharmacia Biotech, Piscataway, NJ, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for one (1) each of the following items: 1) 13331201 (s)AKTA Purifier 10 w/control unit; 2) 18608301 Pump P-950; 3) 18110841 Motor valve PV-908; 4) 13363301 (S) AKTA Starter Kit; 5) 17104701 Superdex 75HR 10/30; 6) 17054701 Mono Q HR5/5 Column; 7) 17059201 Hiprep 16/10 QXL; 8) 17509301 Hiprep 16/10SP XL; 9) 18876801 Column XK26/40; 10) 18877301 Column XK16/20; 11) 18111897 Frac-901 Fraction Collector; 12)17054601 Mono Q HR5/5 Column. This is an automated system for high performance purification of proteins/protein complexes and nucleic acids. The system includes an integrated computer with software to run programs for the purification of samples and a UV monitor capable of monitoring 3 wavelengths at one time. This system is capable of obtaining flow rates of 10mls/min and pressure limits of 25 Mpa. System must fit in a cold box and run at 4 degrees C. System is compatible with Hi Trap columns as well as mono S and mono Q columns. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 5 days of closing date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 5 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Amersham Pharmacia.. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
