- Description
- In accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, the Contracts Department of the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, intends to procure the following construction materials in the indicated approximate quantities for the Navy Public Works Center, Naval Station, CA; approximately 130 tons of Cold Mix Asphalt in accordance with the Asphalt Institute Manual Series Number 14 of February 1997; approximately 1,150 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt Bituminous Concrete , uniformly mixed with bituminous material in a hot mix central plant in accordance with Section 39 of the CALTRANS Standard Specifications for the State of California; approximately 4,000 tons of Cold Mix Asphalt Concrete in accordance with the Asphalt Institute Manual Series Number 14 of February 1977; approximately 7,000 gallons of Emulsion Oil (containing 45-60% paving asphalt, 38% water and 2% resin) for use with hot mix. Contract shall be a firm-fixed price contract for one base year with two 1-year option periods. This is an unrestricted procurement action. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Offers are due no later than 1 August 2001, 3:00 PM EST. Anticipated award date is 7 August 2001. Each offeror must also submit commercial catalogs containing the requested and other related items, with government discounts. The solicitation will be issued with the anticipation of obtaining current pricing and parts information for all CLINs listed. All prospective offerors are cautioned that in the event the Government is unable to determine price reasonableness based on the offers received and market analysis, the Government will not issue a contract. This decision is solely the decision and right of the Government. All efforts performed and all cost expended by prospective offerors in providing information requested by the solicitation are not subject to reimbursement by the Government. The Government does not anticipate paper copies of these documents to be issued. Per DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration is mandatory for all contractors in order to receive award of a contract or order.
