Description

UNICOR intends to enter into a one base year with four one year options requirements type contract for mineral board and particleboard. The solicitation number is FN1059 and this solicitation is issued as an Request For Proposal (RFP). Item 0001 UNICOR Part # PNLTMB, Mineral Board, 7/16"x60"x78", Est. Qty: 50,000, U/I: Each, Item 0002 UNICOR Part #PNLTMBHA, .80NRC, High Acoust, Mineralboard, 60x78x7/16, 50,000, U/I: Each, Item 0003 UNICOR Part #, PRB0113, "x4'x8', Wood Fiber, Micore-160, Est. Qty: 10,000, U/I: Each, Item 0004 PRB0108, "x4'x8', Wood fiber, Micore. Est. QTY: 25,000. Additional specifications will be available in solicitation document. Items are to be delivered FOB Destination FCC Coleman, FL, 846 NE 54th Terrace, Coleman, FL 33521. Delivery is 30 days after receipt of each delivery order for initial order. All orders thereafter shall be delivered within five (5) days after receipt of delivery order. The offeror will be required to maintain a two-month stock quantity for these items to meet the five (5) day delivery schedule. The two month stock quantity numbers will be listed in the solicitation document. The two-month stock quantity shall be maintained at the offerors site. This is a full and open competitive Request for Proposal. Offerors are advised that the Government intends to evaluate offers and award on an all or none basis. Offerors shall submit signed and dated offers to the Office Furniture Group, 320 First Street NW, 400 Building, 7th Floor, Washington, DC 20534, ATTN: Bid Custodian. This information shall be displayed on the outside of the envelope with the solicitation number and offer closing date. Fax proposals are accepted at 202-305-7363 or 7365, Attn: Bid Custodian, the fax cover sheet shall reference the solicitation number and offer closing date and time. All offerors must acknowledgment all amendments. Offers received after the exact time and date specified will not be considered. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer represents the best value to the government. The following factors shall be used to evaluate proposals: past performance, conformance to specification, availability to meet the two (2) month stock quantity requirement and price. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer will be mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. The solicitation will be available on UNICOR's website at www.unicor.gov/procurement/profurniture.htm on or about August 1, 2001. No copies of the solicitation will be mailed. All responsible offerors may submit an offer which will be considered.
