Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, intends to issue a sole source solicitation to Bluefin Robotics, Inc., Cambridge, MA for long lead time items for use in future generation of the Battlespace Preparation Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (BPAUV) for minehunting and bottom mapping applications. The proposed contract is sole-source as Bluefin accomplished the development and testing under competitively awarded contract N61331-99-C-046. This is a follow-on effort per Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A), and will include purchase of: main electronic housing material and fabrication; material for vehicle long fairings; fairing and hull assemblies; battery package and tail cone materials and assemblies. Period of performance of this contract will be through 31 Jan 2002. All products generated under this contract will be delivered to the Coastal Systems Station, 6703 W Hwy 98, Panama City, FL 32407-7001. A fixed price contract is anticipated. Note 22 Applies.
