Description

The National Park Service is soliciting bids on a set-aside basis for small business firms only, from qualified companies, for the Re-Pointing of Four Chimneys on the Headquarters Building at Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park, Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia. The work consists of providing all labor, supervision, tools, material, equipment and incidentals to perform the following- a) General cleaning and restoration of all exposed surfaces of the chimneys and associated walls; b) Removal of any mineral deposits and stains; c) Remove and clean all surface soiling, biological growth and stains on all exposed wall surfaces of the entire exterior surface of the complete structure; d) Remove all defective and mis-colored mortar in the above and re-point to match existing beaded joints. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and 100,000.00. The solicitations will be available on or about August 10, 2001. ALL requests for the solicitation MUST be in writing. After the first 25 copies of the solicitation are disbursed a $15.00 fee (cashier's check or money order) will be required. The solicitation may be requested via mail, email, or fax.
