- Description
- The project includes a 3,345 SM Training/Aviation Maintenance Building consisting of masonry, steel frame and metal panel structure capable of housing 2 aircraft at a time. The facility will provide a maintenance hangar, shop areas, storage areas, administrative offices, arms vault, technical library, classrooms, training areas, break rooms, restrooms, mechanical rooms, and other support areas for USAR reservists and 20 FTUs maintenance personnel. The building exterior will be composed of brick veneer with CMU backup and vertical seamed metal wall panels, with a barrel vaulted high standing seam metal roof. The site will include aircraft hardstand, parking apron, aircraft washing apron, a helicopter rinse facility, and antiterrorism/force protection. Privately owned vehicle (POV) and Military Equipment Park (MEP) parking lots will also be included. This project is be located in Pinellas County, Florida at the St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport. the site is approximately 27 acres, and will support new construction of a United States Army Reserve Center (USARC) and Aviation Support Facility (ASF) for a 35 member Aviation Support Company that services UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopters. This project will be sealed bid. The price range of this project is $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. The estimated completion time is 500 calendar days. The project will be issued on or about 14 August 2001. The NAICS Code for this project is 23310. This project is available on compact disk only.
