Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation shall not be issued. This solicitation number 01T000090X is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and is unrestricted, allowing both large and small businesses to submit proposals. This solicitation incorporates Federal Acquisition Regulation provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. Incorporated by reference are FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.213-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items; 52.2l2-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. No additional FAR clauses apply. The Office of Emergency Preparedness is soliciting offerors to provide accommodations for (216) staff members in Salt Lake City, Utah, for the period of January 31, 2002 through March 1, 2002. The Contractor shall provide 1)garage parking for 75 cars and 10-15 tactical and medical response vehicles; 2) (72) 3-b/r units to house 216 staff members (1-per bed); 3) all rooms shall be located in the same building/complex; 4) house cleaning shall be provided weekly, as well as one change of sheets, one extra blanket, and an extra set of towels for each staff member; 5) telephone service in each suite/room with local calls free of charge. This requirement shall be awarded to the responsible offeror determined to offer the best value to the Government for providing all services described in this solicitation. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3,"Offerors Representations and Certificates-Commercial Items" and their Dunn and Bradstreet Number with their quote. Offerors wishing to respond to this solicitation shall provide this office with one (1) original and two (2) copies of a price quote for the services requested, along with the required representation and certification.
