Description

Synopsis No. S-010002 -- The contract is for the maintenance and repair of 200 Navy family housing units and other real property, as well as appliances, by means of a combination "firm fixed price lump sum and indefinite quantity" type contract. The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, incidental engineering and transportation required to maintain and repair family housing units and associated utility systems, household equipment, appliances, land areas (including sports facilities and playground), and other related real property and facilities (to include but not limited to the Navy Housing Welcome Center, Old Community Center, Family Resource Center, Outdoor Recreation Center (MWR), Buildings 1 and 606 Scotia) in accordance with the requirements specified herein. Work includes the performance of service work, preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities, change of occupancy maintenance, painting, janitorial, entomology, grounds maintenance, snow removal, maintenance management, manage self-help store, and other services as described herein. Services shall be provided as specified in the contract. The contract is for a twelve month base period with an option of 4 one year renewals. This proposed procurement will be 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 561210 and the size standard is $20.0 million. Tentative issue date is 11 August 2001. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), availability of the solicitation will be limited to the electronic medium. Plans and specifications will NOT be directly provided by a paper hard copy format. The Government intends to issue this solicitation from the Internet. The address for downloading this solicitation from the Internet is http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge, however, some plans and specifications will take a considerable amount of time to download. All prospective offerors are encouraged to register on the EFA Northeast Internet EBS website for this project when plans and specifications become available.
