Description

DESC: Solicitation DACW05-01-Q-0120. Expect to issue solicitation 3 Aug 01. Quotes will be due 30 Aug 01. THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Design and create a brochure, tabletop display, and wayside exhibit panels for Stanislaus River Parks, Stanislaus County, California. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, equipment, materials, supplies, interpretive text, script writing, graphic images, illustrations, exhibit design and fabrication, transportation, shipping, and supervision required to design and create a brochure, display posters, and stationary wayside exhibit panels dealing with Chinook salmon and Steelhead trout for Stanislaus River Parks. At least 5,000 copies of the brochure shall be provided and more than one copy of the posters and panels, may be required. The NAICS code is 541430. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is $5,000,000.00. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from the Request for Quote (RFQ) that will be issued for this procurement. TWO POSSIBLE WAYS OF OBTAINING SOLICITATIONS: FIRST WAY: Contractors may be able to download solicitations for Sacramento and San Francisco projects directly from the Corps web site. If this project is available on the Sacramento web site, the solicitation will not be available in paper copies and/or CD-ROMs. If amendments become available, they will also be available for downloading from the Corps web site. SECOND WAY: If the solicitation does not appear on the web site, a paper copy will be mailed to the firms listed on the planholders list by the cutoff date of 27 July 01. THE CORPS WEB SITE IS: http://ebs.spk.usace.army.mil. HOW TO REGISTER AS A PLAN HOLDER: Separate registration is required for SPK (Sacramento) and SPN (San Francisco). Access the Corps web site. Select SPK (Sacramento) or SPN (San Francisco). Select "Register for Multiple Solicitations" and follow the prompts. The Corps restructured its web site on June 26th to allow contractors to download solicitations from this site. Plan-holders registering for the first time under the new system will need to establish a user name and password. Every individual responsible for registering his or her firm as a plan-holder will have to use the firm's user name and password. As of June 26th, plan-holders will only need to proceed through the entire registration process once for SPN and once for SPK. With the firm's user name and password, registering as a plan-holder for future solicitations will be streamlined. Registered plan holders will be alerted via email when amendments are posted to the Corps web site. THIS SOLICITATION IS SCHEDULED TO BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD (or mailing) ON 2 August 2001. DOWNLOADING INSTRUCTIONS: Access the Corps web site. Select current advertisements for SPN (San Francisco). A list of advertised solicitations will appear. Click on the desired solicitation number. At the bottom of the solicitation a radio button will allow you to download/view solicitation files. Select plans or specs from the drop down box and press "Go". This will take you to the next page, where the file name may be selected and downloaded. TO DOWNLOAD AMENDMENTS: Access the list of advertised solicitations. Select the desired solicitation and then click on the amendment number. At the next screen, click on the file name and download it. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the agency. See Note 26 (see Commerce Business Daily, Monday edition).
