Description

This is a combined synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, and 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; the proposal and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 and is issued for Request for Quotations #RFQ 549-177-01. The NAIC code is 334220 . Award will be made based on past performance, back up plan and price. The VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) has a requirement for fully accredited satellite continuing education services to include video cassette recorded tapes. Contractor will be required to provide all labor and materials, install and maintain the following at the VANTHCS: one 1.8 meter satellite earth station (dish), one receiver/decoder, signal processing device (switcher), and up to 50 feet of coax cable connecting the dish to the receiver at head end. In addition, a manned toll free number must be made available 24 hours per day to provide for any equipment issues that may arise. At a minimum, Educational Programming Services shall consist of continuing education programming for major accredited hospital disciplines including Physicians, Physicians Assistants, Nursing, Nurses Aides, Medical Records, Pharmacy, Medical Technology, Dietary, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiological Technology and Social Work Program.
