Description

The Wayne National Forest anticipates contracting for an Environmental Assessment for the Snake Hollow Watershed Restoration project. The project could involve the analysis of a variety of actions including: construction of limestone channels, closing of water collecting subsidences, contouring and capping a coal waste site, and other acid mine drainage remediation activities. The Snake Hollow Watershed Restoration project is located in Hocking County, Ohio. It is anticipated that the quote package will be available on approximately August 8, 2001. Electronic solicitation packages may be obtained FREE on the specified date at the following website: http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/contracting/index.html, under solicitation number R9-ORB-01-333. Requests for hard copy solicitation packages must be submitted in writing to: USDA FOREST SERVICE, ATTN: DEBRA HURON, EASTERN REGION, 310 W WISCONSIN AVE STE 580, MILWAUKEE WI 53203. The charge for hard copy solicitation packages is $5.00 in advance. Checks should be made payable to USDA -- Forest Service. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. Quotes must be received by September 6, 2001, or 30 days after the quote package becomes available, whichever is later, at the website or in hard copy.
